Vintage Halloween Costumes

Many people like to dPuttin' on the Ritz - Teal Adult Costumeress with a vintage look. Some folks like actual vintage clothing, for example a friend of mine who owns and wears suits from the 1920s. There are many who wear vintage Halloween costumes or more reproductions of clothing for Halloween or parties. In any case, there are some classic styles from the past that are great for Halloween, costume parties, or just because you love some of these classy styles. Here are some of the most popular:

The disco look from the 1980s is very popular, although I’m not sure if I’dWomen's Bell Bottom Pants use the word “classy!” Large bell bottoms, metallic colored shirts, and polyester nearly everything in often loud colors dominated the era. There are a lot of these available if you want to look like a Dancing Queen, on the John Travolta Saturday Night Fever, or just a Sleazebag is a vintage leisure suit!

Hippie costumes and flower child costumes frSexy Flower Child Adult Costumeom 1960 are also popular for Halloween parties. Often a rather inexpensive wig gives the right hair for men, and paisley or tie dye clothing adds to the look. Add a couple of medals, of course, a peace sign or two, and you’re ready to go.
Zoot Suit Black/Red Adult Costume I also love Zoot Suits from around the 1940s. These companies are huge and best suited in a variety of colors. The jackets are huge, the pants come way up the waist, and the legs are baggy but quite thin at the ankle. It was a big time in one of these, and they look vePinup Girl Adult Costumery elegant.

Another 40s look that works, but this time for ladies, are pin up costumes.
Pin-up girls are very popular models such as Ginger Rogers, Mae West, Betty Grable, and many others whose pictures have been published or have been noted by many.

The costumes are great from the year 1920, and my favorites are the gangsters of men and women. The Prohibition was in full swing, and with plenty of money in bootlegging, organized crime flourished.
Gangster Adult Costume Certainly this was not a good thing, but a gangster costume is very elegant, with a good suit, pinstripe suit and a hat 20s style look appropriate to an impressive selection. Add a fake machine gun and everyone will absolutely know what you are!

vintage Halloween costumes have always been popular, but seems to really have picked up steam. Just look at the multitude of choices and you will understand why!
